Insensitivity, cluelessness and why I am lacking the grace to deal with them

I was on Facebook a few weeks ago, as that is my entire social life these days, when I read comments under a post featuring a picture of a friend and her late husband. Some of these posts were quite odd I thought:

“Lovely Picture!” Ok, that’s nice.

“I remember this day! We had such fun!” Also nice.

“You guys looked great in this picture.” Somewhat questionable but still reasonable.

“Such a happy picture!!” Okaaaaaayyy.

Then, there was:

“It’s so painful looking at this picture, knowing that he’s gone!” WHUT?

“Looking at this hurts my heart!” For REAL?

My personal favorite:

“How are you still able to post these things? It can’t be helping you heal.”

Really? Please tell me you are kidding, I thought.
