We Make Time for a Funeral But not for a Cup of Coffee

“Sorry, but I don’t have any time to meet you for a cup of coffee next Tuesday, but seriously,  if you were to die on Sunday, I would make time to go to your funeral.  So, I guess, as long as you are still alive next week, I would have to say, ‘sorry, no time’.”

We don’t actually say things like this to our friends and loved ones, but did you ever stop to think about the idea that we live like this? Our busy lives often get in the way of ‘what’, or should I say, ‘who’, really matters.
